Sleeve Math: How Card Sleeves Quietly Wreck Your Deck Box Fit

Somewhere out there is a deck box marketed as "fits 100 cards" that has never, not once, held 100 double-sleeved cards without the lid looking like it's trying to escape.

The culprit isn't your deck. It's math nobody bothered to do before printing the packaging.

Picture the scene. A box advertised at 100-card capacity. A perfectly normal 100-card deck. Sleeved once, like a reasonable person.
